Sherpa Cleans Ltd is an exciting, expanding and fast paced business; we operate professional cleaning services for high quality short-term-let properties, apartment hotels and pop-up hotels during festival periods. We also cover commercial property cleaning such as office, restaurant and bar cleaning. Our clients are based across the central belt of Scotland.

About the role

We are looking for a part-time delivery driver to join our fast-growing team in and around Edinburgh City Centre. It is vital that the candidate has experience as a delivery driver, experience driving a 3.5 tonne van, and excellent communication skills.

The role will require minimum 16 hours weekly. The role is currently flexible with regards to days of work – we are happy to try and accommodate you based on your availability. The required daily hours of the role are currently 8am to 4pm. Although this role currently demands a minimum of 16 hours per work, there will also be ad-hoc work available to cover sickness and holidays. Presently, our business is also expanding! We are taking on more clients and more properties, so there is the potential for this post to progress to a more full time role.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to complete assigned delivery drops within the stipulated period and able to carry out these tasks with minimal supervision. You will be communicating with our housekeeping team daily, so must be able to work well as part of a team and be able to use your initative.

Key Responsibilities:

· Packing up to 30 bags of linen per day for delivery, based on demand, at our linen depot in Livingston.

· Loading the delivery van with linen bags each day.

· Delivering the required linen and consumables to each property in a timely manner.

· Removing bags of used linen from properties and returning these to our linen depot.

· Returning to the depot at the end of each day to count and organise the used linen ready for uplift.

· Delivering supplies or machinery as and when required.

· Informing the line manager of linen stock levels.

· Communicating with housekeeping staff about their linen requirements and to inform them of estimated arrival time or any delays.

Essential Requirements:

· Smart Mobile Phone (you will be using an app to receive your assigned tasks each day).

· Experience driving up to a 3.5 tonne van.

· Experience as a delivery driver.

· The ability to follow instructions.

· The ability to adapt to changing schedules.

· Punctual and reliable with diligent attention to detail and safety.

· Excellent Verbal and Written Communication in English.

· Ability to Multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to function well as part of a team.

· Flexibility.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £90.00 per day

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
